Lunchtime Meditation

Take a restorative break from your busy day with our drop-in lunchtime meditation sessions. Perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, these sessions offer a sanctuary of calm in the heart of Manhattan.

Unwind and reconnect

Transition from work to evening with intention. Our Happy Hour Meditation sessions provide a peaceful space to release the day's tensions and reconnect with yourself.

Sunday Group Meditation

with David Listen

Weekly group sitting meditation, followed by Q&A and brief instructions on the practice. David Listen—a former monk in the Dharma Drum Mountain community, current mental health counselor, and a long-time instructor at the Dharma Drum Retreat Center—will answer questions and share insights about sitting meditation and the application of Chan Buddhist methods of practice in daily life. This activity is suited to beginners, advanced practitioners, and everyone in between—after all we're all just beginning anew with each moment.

with Harry Miller

Join Harry Miller for an enriching evening of meditation practice followed by an insightful dharma talk. Walking Meditation

Walking is a form of meditation that can be practiced in the midst of your busy life—anytime, anywhere, no planning or preparation necessary. Join us and learn how the simple act of walking can be transformed into an exercise for both body and mind, a healthy habit that can pacify even the busiest of minds.

Half-Day Retreat

Our monthly half-day retreats provide an opportunity to sustain and deepend your meditation practice in a supportive group setting. A gentle introduction to more extended practice, these mornings include multiple sitting meditation periods, 8-form moving meditation, and walking meditation. A healthy and wholesome way to start your weekend.
